  • Special Speaker – Jason Blankfield, former commando and current reservist in the elite Airborne Search & Rescue unit, Unit 669
  • Special Date – Sunday, Aug. 30
  • Special Time – 11 a.m. ET (US)

Unit 669 is the Israel Air Force's search-and-rescue unit. The unit was formed as a result of the need to rescue pilots who abandoned their aircraft over enemy lines, but since then, its areas of responsibility have expanded significantly.

The unit focuses on aerial search-and-rescue missions of soldiers and citizens regardless of location or conditions. The unit also participates in searches for missing soldiers. Its symbol is the cat, which, like the unit, operates in secrecy and agility, but when necessary, knows how to act aggressively in a hostile environment. It’s considered one of the elite units of the IDF, is on alert all year long and is ready to jump to any event and rescue within a few minutes.

When you learn more about Unit 669, you’ll see how its focus and discipline carry over to the business world.
