Lodge Bezalel Presents Contribution to Cobb County Police K-9 Unit
Lodge Bezalel of The Hebrew Order of David International (HOD), a Jewish fraternal organization, recently presented a check to support the K-9 Unit of the Cobb County Police Department. The money was raised through Lodge Bezalel’s participation in the annual Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival, held in the fall at Brook Run Park, Dunwoody. Many of the lodge’s members live in East Cobb, and they have been very glad to support the K-9 Unit with their share of the proceeds.
Members of the 4th precinct of the Cobb County Police Department participated in the BBQ competition at the festival. This past October, they placed 1st in the brisket category and 3rd in the rib category. The competition was very tough, as usual, including teams with professional chefs and caterers, making their high achievements in kosher BBQ all the more impressive.
